The Evangelist

Cynthia attended the Central Georgia School of Ministry, where she studied for three years and received a Deaconess Missionary and Evangelist License. She has been a born-again baptized believer for over 40 years. Shortly after accepting the Lord, she began her service in grassroots ministries. As part of the bus ministry, Cynthia canvassed neighborhoods to recruit children for Sunday school and rode the bus on Sundays to pick them up.

She also participated in a hunger program that fed and ministered to the less fortunate. Additionally, Cynthia started and led a Christian drill team and drum corps for the church and community, which engaged in evangelism by participating in parades and various programs.

Cynthia was a member of the morning prayer ministry, where the group prayed in the sanctuary Monday through Friday for the needs of the church, its members, and the community. Many prayers were answered during this time, which helped her develop a strong prayer life. In this ministry, her gift of discernment and training in spiritual warfare began. Other spiritual gifts also manifested, and she began utilizing her prophetic anointing.

She also founded and directed "The Arts Ministry" at her local church, overseeing a team of nine staff members. Together, they focused on ministry through the arts, organizing three step-teams, two dance teams, a liturgical dance team, an oratorical team, and a drama department. The ministry was responsible for planning all church programs and plays, including events for Christmas and Easter. One notable event was a service held in the park, which resulted in several people coming to know the Lord. Cynthia led this ministry until she relocated to Georgia.

Cynthia co-founded and co-pastored "Blessed Assurance COGIC" for thirteen years. Aside from the ministerial staff, none of the members were transplants from other ministries. The focus was on winning the unchurched for the kingdom. At the altar, Cynthia was used by God to deliver individuals bound by drugs, habits, poverty, demon possession, and other spiritual oppressions. She also laid hands on church members, leading them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and she functioned with a prophetic anointing.

Her roles at Blessed Assurance included:

- Chief Financial Officer (CFO)                                         - Church administrator

- Moderator and leader of devotions                               - Leader of the women's ministry

- Spiritual counselor                                                            - Van ministry coordinator

- Organizer and executor of special programs and services

  • She also coordinated toy and back-to-school giveaways for the community. As a result of these efforts, the Toys for Tots organization chose the church to serve as a hub for the community.

  • For South Central Georgia COGIC Cynthia was the secretary of the Pastors wives and Juristictional Public Speaking coach.

  • She is currently a member of Victory City Atlanta. Senior Pastor is Smokie Norful. Assistant Pastor is Elder Joshua J. Rodgers.
